Student Comments...

Hi Nita Jo
Thanks for a fun filled weekend of intense learning. Your ability to encourage

yet direct each student with dignity is an awesome characteristic. A class of

7 students was a rare treat for me. I appreciate the way each student was able

to ask questions and get straight forward easy to understand answers. We all

learned from each others questions.
Your accommodations are superb. The comfort of the horses and the humans

are important to you and it is evident in your facility.
If there are any potential students out there- Choose Nita Jo for your

PNH instructor- you will not be disappointed.

Nita Jo and student taking a break

"Last weekend we finally had the opportunity to have Nita Jo do a 2 day
clinic at our facility in NJ. It was FANTASTIC! Everyone including one
diehard skeptic came away with a feeling of having had a life-with-horse
changing experience."

         Sue K. 11/08

"While I'd completed Level 1 on my own, Nita Jo's guidance really
brought me to the next level and gave me the tools I need to address the
challenges I was facing. My horse and I were very fortunate to have had the
opportunity to work with her."

"I just wanted to thank the Parelli's for a wonderful program, and let you
know what a wonderful job your instructors do. Earlier this Fall I
attended a 3 day L2 clinic with Nita Jo. She didn't just give us answers.
She gave us the tools and understanding to progress with our relationships
with our horses.

As a result, the trail ride I went on with my wife and a couple of our PNH
student friends a couple of weeks later was our best ride yet!"

"Nita Jo gave me back my horse and our relationship, [when] I was ready to quit. She gave Matrix back his passion for moving, jumping, and rambling out on that trail...Most remarkable to me is she knew how to lead a 52 year old woman (with 6 years of riding calm horses under her belt) and a troubled horse through each stage; what I could first ask for, then when to ask as the next step and the next...As we drove in this time there was such a feeling of safeness, a place to learn, and laugh and play!!! All the students remarked on this!!

I just wanted to take a moment to let you know what a great job Nita Jo did
at the L3 clinic I had attended this weekend. She is warm and encouraging,
and loads of fun to be with, yet takes her job quite seriously. She made
sure that we started on time, and that each participant was getting what
they needed in order to improve. She had great ideas for each of us - and
considered each horse and what they needed from their human. We were an
exuberant group, and she was able to "manage the classroom" quite well. I
have so many new ideas of ways to improve my horsemanship here at home.
Thanks to all of you at Parelli, and particularly to Nita Jo.

"Nita Jo goes out of her way to really get to know her students personally and help them think through the roadblocks we come up against...Nita Jo has also helped me develop my emotional fitness through sound advice to be a role model and not to stoop to the level of those who try to find ways to block our success."

               Brandie G. 7/08

"I sustained an injury that limits my walking and have very little ankle and knee movement so it has been a tough and challenging journey for both me and Dee. Nita Jo has a super way of adapting to the humans she is teaching and has a wonderul understanding and approach to both human and horse needs, emotions and physical fitnesses."

"Nita Jo was the ULTIMATE professional and I thoroughly enjoyed my
experience with her as an instructor. She was clear, precise,
knowledgeable and maintained control of the class at all times. Nita
Jo was friendly, open and fully available to deal with individual
concerns throughout the two days."

            Kim D    7/08

"I found it to be an exceptional experience.  Nita Jo made it fun while being no nonsense, as it should be. She helped me come back.  For that I am very grateful.  I would recommend her to anyone and would take another clinic with her."

Nita Jo is outstanding! She found the positive side to every situation and handled a challenging class with ease. Nita Jo has a quiet, simple, beautiful grace about her.....She is a natural leader with great savvy!

"She has such a wonderful way of communicating with everyone, including the auditors. She makes sure that her students understand what she is trying to teach and she checks on every one of them to see how they are progressing. She is very patient, kind, and is sometimes humorous to keep the mood light and relaxed. She answers every single question and doesn't leave a single person out.

"Nita Jo was a wonderful clinician, as always. She did a terrific job of helping everyone – even though there was a wide range of skill levels. NJ also leaves everyone with a “can do” attitude. That quality surely added new members to the Nita Jo Rush fan club! :-)"

"I attended 3 mini-clinics at Nita Jo's Place this summer. Her ranch is beautiful with a large outdoor riding arena that more than accommodates the class size she books during the mini-clinics. She is about 20 minutes North of St. Cloud so it makes it a convenient drive to lodging and restaurants or, if you are able to snatch it in time, she has an apartment you can rent during your stay. She has both outdoor and indoor accommodations for our horse friends which makes the outdoors a nice option during good weather.

I really enjoyed the smaller class size, which allowed more one on one time with Nita Jo. I also like the pace of the clinic and the comfortable atmosphere. She was able to keep an eye on each of us and help work with us based on where we were at in our levels."

"Dear Nita  Jo, I just wanted to thank you for the fantastic learning experience this past weekend during the Level 1 Clinic.you gave. Your talent is awesome, your teaching techniques were clear and easily understood, and you are one great showman as well! Thanks for the individual attention and positive feedback and encouragement to all of us. My daughter and I were inspired, and our feelings about the Parelli Methods being the route we want to take were reinforced tenfold. "

With gratitude,

"I don't really know how to put into words how valuable this clinic was for me. I have been riding horses for 40 years; but I learned a lot about how I handled my horses. I also learned a lot about myself."  Lisa W.

"Hey! Has anybody told you today what an amazing teacher you are? Well,
you are!!...

...I learned so much watching you work calmly and efficiently with the
other horses and humans. How you kept track of us all and gave so much
energy and personalized attention is beyond me. The 7 Games really work,
but it takes a whole different level of mastery to do so much in such a
short time with such a mix of people and horses - all while making it
great fun. And watching you in relationship with your beautiful mare
Sadie gave me something more to aspire to.

Thanks again, Nita Jo. You're the best!"

"Of all the instructors we have had out here in New England I have to tell you that your outward warmth and true caring for the horse, but mostly for the student, far exceeds any I have seen so far. I learn from people like you, Nita Jo. I feel very comfortable with you no matter how silly I might look during a lesson or clinic. Being comfortable and knowing that you really want me to 'get it' means a lot."

"Nita Jo is very easy to listen to.  She's extremely patient!  I really enjoyed seeing the relaxed way she gets the horse to listen to her, too!"

"Thank you for a very enjoyable, non-stressful clinic. I get very nervous at clinics being pretty new to this
riding stuff. But after the first few minutes I felt very relaxed because Nita Jo made me feel relaxed!"

"I was amazed at how many ways [Nita Jo] would have us try certain tasks.  If one way wasn't working she always had another idea, until one would make us succeed." --Carmen W.

"Nita Jo is a natural at teaching. She gets down to business and presents information in a way that is easy to understand and, even better, retain! I've had 5 Parelli instructors and Nita Jo has the best presentation. Very professional, and able to present techniques in an effective way!"
