Lori & Cheryl

It was a wonderful fall weekend at Nita Jo's. Half of us made the trek from Wisconsin and had a lot to talk about on the 6 hour drive home. We made many new friends at the clinic that have similar goals with our horses. We will most likely stay in touch for ever after.
During the clinic, there were many new discoveries.
Some of us discovered our horse...like what to do when a horse went extremely right brained. Some realized how much our horse just wants to play! We had horses of every size and all over the horseanality chart. Being around all different types of horses is educational for everyone. You may learn more about someone else's horse than your own!
Some of us discovered a lot about ourselves…..making comments like "Maybe it's MY go button that's broken." Some learned that they needed to be more assertive with a horse whose was invading their space. Some learned that they needed to just leave their horse alone to move, or think like a horse.
We learned that patterns and games are helpful for both you and your horse, by giving your time with your horse a purpose.
We learned that Nita Jo would stand in the rain, and coach and support a student to help with loading their horse in the trailer, until both horse and owner were confident about it.
Nita Jo has a great assistant in Sally who helped keep everything running smoothly.
There was much laughter, some therapeutic tears and a lot of savvy found in all participants as their horses were revealed. Thanks Nita Jo.
