You live hundreds of miles from the nearest instructor or clinic yet you want to continue your PNH progress. Perhaps your trailer is stuck in a snowdrift and you're stuck on a task, technique or concept. What then?
Send Nita Jo a DVD of your L1 or L2 assessment tasks and she'll view it, make comments and give you the results and feedback. (Nita Jo can give you coaching on L3, though not an assessment of that level.)
Or, send her a DVD of something you and your horse are having difficulty with and she'll give you some feedback and coaching via email, telephone or letter.
Her mailing address is on the Contact page of this web site.
How does it work?
****** Make a copy of the original assessment form (as well as the DVD) each time you send them in. (for safekeeping in case your video/form are lost in transit.) *******
Please Note: If you are sending in a DVD...PLEASE make sure it has been *finalized* before sending. Also, please watch your DVD prior to sending so that you know it can be viewed! |
How long will it take?
Usually, Nita Jo views DVDs on
a first-come, first-served basis; how long it will take for you to receive feedback
depends on how many other DVDs she has waiting in line, and on her teaching
schedule. Plan on 2-4 weeks; be flexible! Other instructors also view videos;
please don't hesitate to work with them if Nita Jo's schedule doesn't fit yours.
If you must send a VHS tape, please note that the turnaround time on VHS tapes will be longer than with DVDs. Nita Jo can take DVDs on the road with her, while she cannot with VHS tapes, and thus can only watch VHS when she is at home (rare!).
What does it cost?
Cost for DVD coaching or assessing is $100/hour of NJ's time (not the DVD run time) for the first hour. 30 minutes of DVD equals about 60 minutes of assessed/coached time. Most (not all!) Level 1 assessments will cost no more than one hour. If you're submitting an entire L2 assessment, please expect there to be an additional charge; most L2 assessments take about 1 1/2 hours. Please include a check for $100 when you initially submit your assessment.
