Level 1 Advancing / Intro to Level 2 July 31 - Aug 2, 2009

This 3 day clinic was incredibly effective in “advancing” all the participants. There were participants with a variety of experience levels but I saw everyone make remarkable progress. Nita Jo took the time to find out what each person needed help with and made sure to cover each person’s concern during the clinic. It was particularly enlightening to have everyone videotaped. Self awareness is sometimes difficult when you’re managing a 1,000 lb animal on the end of a rope but being able to sit down and really “see” yourself objectively was enormously valuable. Talk about BFOs!!
We spent most of the time on the ground the first two days but it was well worth it. On the third day everyone was ready to ride with confidence (or at least with butterflies flying in formation). The result was the growth of confidence in riders and horses alike. Clinics are for “taking the time it takes,” as Pat would say, and Nita Jo doesn’t take short cuts. Her coaching is nothing short of amazing. She has a remarkable ability to zero in on the precise thing, no matter how small it is, that can make a huge change. Thank you Nita Jo!!
